Downey Bobaloca

They have a Frequent drinker card!! And their boba milk drinks are delish. The boba is soft and tasty! Yummy!

I read a sign saying this is Downey’s first boba spot. Hmm… I guess so… been going here for decades, and the drinks have been consistently well-made. Thank you staff for that.

About a year ago, my daughter wanted to try boba for the first time. This location was close to where we were running errands, so we tried it just out of convenience, and I'm glad we did. I wasn't a fan of boba, so I wasn't much help in helping her pick a drink. The team at the location realized my daughter needed help, and they were extremely gracious in their efforts. They made suggestions based on flavors, appearance, and textures, and they really cared to help her find something she would like. My daughter loved her drink and has become quite the boba fan because of them. I even ended up trying a drink and realizing I just wasn't a fan of the traditional Tapioca boba (although it's grown on me). My only complaint is that now my daughter always wants boba. Thank you all for the great experience and the daddy, daughter memory. As a matter of fact, maybe our family will come visit you today for Father's Day! As a note, my family was just discussing having boba today. I looked up this location and saw a negative review that had been left by someone who had VERY much the opposite of my experience. I find it necessary to point out that one person's experience is not always the same as another. Be sure to check if a review is an outlier from the norm, and don't let it cloud your judgment. Also, take notice if someone has a tendency to mostly leave negative reviews. They might be bringing those negative experiences upon themselves, or they may have another motive (especially if they have multiple negative reviews of similar establishments).

Taro and Thai Tea tasted so so good, perfect amount of sweetness and flavor. This place is far better than others I tried in Downey! I'll definitely be coming back. Customer service was also great.

I've been to 2 boba loca and this place has been my least favorite. I feel like they use some sort of cream that takes away from their drinks. I get green tea smoothie and sometimes feel it is missing the green tea taste and just taste like sugar. Other than that they sell more things here than other boba locas. They have pastries and snacks on the counter.

I hadn't tried Boba before and for being a first time, I absolutely love it! This is a very charming, clean, relaxing and cozy place. Nice enough to come have a chill time with friends and family, while enjoying these great variety flavored boba drinks. The service is excellent!
